Philosophy

Sanjoe College of Nursing is run by Franciscan Clarist Congregation (F.C.C) S.H province, Ernakulum, a Catholic Religious Association. The Congregation is founded in the year 1888 in Kerala upon the charisma of St. Francis Assisi and  St. Clare.Sacred Heart Province is one of the 24 Provinces of the Congregation having headquarters at Aluva, Ernakulam district. The main Apostolic activities of the Congregation are teaching, health care activities including hospitals and dispensaries, vocational training, family and community based developmental activities, rehabilitation of the visually and mentally challenged and care of drown-trodden members of the society.

San Joe College of Nursing is another mile stone in the path of service of F.C.C and golden feather in the crown of San Joe Hospital which is functioning with the following philosophy and objectives.

  2. We believe that San Joe Hospital should provide health care services to all, irrespective of cast, creed and social status through inpatient, outpatient and rural health services and aid people to regain health and remain healthy, improving the quality of life.

  4. We believe that health care service in San Joe Hospital give priority to people in low socio economic status and maintain the Franciscan spirit of fraternity and minority.

  6. We believe that the health care service here has to reach all the people, all the time at the best level of care a hospital can offer with low cost.

  8. We believe that the curriculum aims at developing and extending nursing competence to set higher goals in nursing and implement and evaluate care which ultimately reflect the consistently improving levels of health of the society and Nation.
