HIGHLIGHTS
Sanjoe College of Nursing is functioning under Franciscan Clarist Congregation, Ernakulum province associated with Sanjoe Hospital, Perumbavoor. The college got affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi University on 03.09.2003 to 2010 and to Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur from 2010 onwards.
ACCREDITATION
Accredited by State Nursing Council (KNC) on 31st December 2003 and Indian Nursing Council (INC) on 5th April 2005. Minority StatusSanjoe College of Nursing has obtained Minority Educational Institution Status from the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions on 24-05-2007 as per the Judgment of the Honourable Supreme Court of India.
ADMISSION
Fifty percentage of seats are reserved for Government and 50 percentage for Association of the Managements of Christian Self Financing Nursing Colleges of Kerala.
ACCOMMODATION
The College hostels for boys and girls seperately functioning very near to the College.
SCHOLARSHIPS
~ As per the agreement with the Government we are giving scholarships worth Rs 2,50,000/- to 10 students, Rs 30,000/- for each 5 students and Rs 20,000/- for each 5 students per annum till the completion of their course.
~ Students Nurses Association from their National fund is giving scholarship of Rs 24,000/ for each 4 students for four years.
~ Management of Sanjoe College of Nursing is giving scholarships of Rs1500/- per month for each 8 students (Two students from all batch) for four years.
~ 22 students are given German scholarship to meet full fee for their study throughout the academic years.
PHILOSOPHY
~ PHILOSOPHY: Sanjoe College of Nursing is run by Franciscan Clarist Congregation (F.C.C) S.H province, Ernakulum, a Catholic Religious Association. The Congregation is founded in the year 1888 in Kerala upon the charisma of St. Francis Assisi and St. Clare.Sacred Heart Province is one of the 24 Provinces of the Congregation having headquarters at Aluva, Ernakulam district. The main Apostolic activities of the Congregation are teaching, health care activities including hospitals and dispensaries, vocational training, family and community based developmental activities, rehabilitation of the visually and mentally challenged and care of drown-trodden members of the society.
San Joe College of Nursing is another mile stone in the path of service of F.C.C and golden feather in the crown of San Joe Hospital which is functioning with the following philosophy and objectives.
~ We believe that San Joe Hospital should provide health care services to all, irrespective of cast, creed and social status through inpatient, outpatient and rural health services and aid people to regain health and remain healthy, improving the quality of life.
~ We believe that health care service in San Joe Hospital give priority to people in low socio economic status and maintain the Franciscan spirit of fraternity and minority.
~ We believe that the health care service here has to reach all the people, all the time at the best level of care a hospital can offer with low cost.
~ We believe that the curriculum aims at developing and extending nursing competence to set higher goals in nursing and implement and evaluate care which ultimately reflect the consistently improving levels of health of the society and Nation.
