Medical Surgical Nursing

The department of medical surgical nursing was established in the year 2003, which offers comprehensive training to undergraduate students The clinical services of the department include clinical supervision of students, patient care, in-service education, conduction of awareness programs, health screening, clinical administration and research activities. The services rendered in various areas include: general medical & surgical wards, out-patient departments, specialty wards, critical care units, intensive care units, and operating rooms, diagnostic and procedural areas. The faculty of the department imparts in depth knowledge to the students by various innovative teaching methods. Methods like seminars, symposiums, group discussions, care studies, care analysis, case presentations and procedure demonstrations are used to enhance the knowledge and skills of the students.
