The Nursing Foundation department is the core starting point of nursing education. It teaches first-year students basic patient care, vital signs, safety rules, and medical ethics through classroom lessons and hands-on practice in specialized skill labs before clinical hospital rotations.The department helps the novice nursing students to develop understanding about the concept of health and illness. The department helps students to develop knowledge and competencies required to provide evidence-based, comprehensive basic nursing care for adult patients. The department trains the students to demonstrate fundamental skills of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care using the nursing process approach in supervised clinical settings.
